So apparently crows have a set of eyelids that are known as the "nictitating membrane". These are the white eyelids that you see in the video above, and they allow the crow to moisten its eyes while still maintaining vision. Neat.
The crows haven't started solving any puzzles yet but they do come whenever I put nuts out. They also have been spending an hour or so every morning in our backyard before we wake up. They bathe in our fish pond, eat peanuts, and most interestingly - play with Copper's favorite stick.
I have no idea why but they'll perch on it, peck at it, and roll it around the yard. Just keep an eye on it in the top right of the screen:
